Shoes in the Sand

Today, was an amazing day. I spent the morning at a local stables “Sunshine Meadows” in Delray Beach. The property is beautiful starting from the “Welcome Back” sign through the winding sand roads which takes you on a journey in what seems to be so far from the city of Boca Raton. The stables, which are tucked far back off the main road, are surrounded by some of the most gorgeous green trees, jumper rings, a race track and paddocks, is home to around six hundred horses and offer amazing facilities for both horse and owner as well as horse riding lessons.

Lindsay who is a seasoned equestrian and highly respected trainer was so kind enough to let me spend time and shoot this casual look with her horse Frankie, who was far from shy when it came to the picture taking and having some fun.

It was clear by the way that everyone interacted with each other at Sunshine Meadows that this was more like a family than fellow equestrians and I can`t thank everyone one enough for allowing me to sink my heels in to the sand :).

For this shoot I wanted a more rustic casual feel and chose destroyed jeans with a loose sleeveless T-shirt and paired it with a leather jacket and belt to finish the look.

I hope you all love this look as much as I do!

Good Ol’ T-shirt and Jeans

There is nothing more versatile than a good ol’ t-shirt and jeans. You can do pretty much anything with either, short of a cocktail party. I love that there is so much room for experimentation and ability to express yourself in a pair of jeans. Let’s see we have the flare, the boot, the skinny and the destroyed all of which you can cut up, roll up, destroy and dye! You have permission to do whatever you want and nobody will ask questions, regardless of style preference. T-shirts give us a comfortably factor and the freedom to feel free. The tee is simple and yet we steal them from our boyfriends, sleep in them, slip them over bathing suits, tuck them in our jeans, or wear nothing but. We cut them off, roll them up, or tie them up, just like we do with jeans and the best part is they look so darn good! If you’ve read my previous post you will know, I mentioned that I wanted to share different ways to style jeans and t-shirts. Today’s look has a little edge to it. I’m wearing a large V-neck T- for a much looser look which happens to be very soft and utterly comfortable, with jeans which are slightly destroyed so you can only imagine how delicious they will be over time. I finished the look off with a leather jacket and assorted silver bracelets

A Little Country

There is something so glorious about being out in the open surrounded by serene green trees sand roads and sounds of nothing but horses and birds chirping. Today, I had so much fun shooting for this post away from the traffic of the everyday hustle and bustle, and spending time in horse country where, I actually feel quite at home since that’s where I spent a great deal of my childhood. I’ve always had a connection to the country, although I cannot stay away from the city for too long, it is a great place for a quick getaway.
My outfit today is laid back. I’m wearing a knit crop top paired with favorite destroyed jeans and boots with matching belt to set the mood along with an assortment of brackets to finish the look.

Candy Dylan
